  <description>Lawrence English &amp; Ben Frost have contributed some excellent work here. Starting from total silence they build an organic sound of ambient electronic drones that splinter into multiple layers of high &amp; low ends. Keep a close eye on these two lads, there is a lot more in the works.</description>

  <notes>Australian experimental artist Lawrence English teams up with Ben Frost to create some crisp carefully processed drones. Lawrence also operates the Room 40 label. Releasing some of the best new Australian experimental music. &#13;
&#13;
Lawrence English is writer, composer &amp; media artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Working across a broad range of art forms, English¹s work is eclectic &amp; characterises a long-term exploration of various themes – most recently audio/visual environments seen in his work Ghost Towns.&#13;
&#13;
A sonic shape-shifter, English's audio works have sprawled over a range of areas. Interested in the potential of seemingly unrelated music &amp; sound elements - from experimental sound-scapes &amp; free improvisation to processed beat works &amp; concréte-influenced compositions - his back catalogue spans a dynamic range of frameworks. London's Time Out referred to his output as "ambient twisted sound-scapes &amp; challenging sonic scree". Ghost Towns, his latest composed work &amp; mixed media installation, seeks to create an abstract "virtual map" of remote spaces, examining the micro &amp; macro aspects of the environments with equal vigour. Under Object, his moniker concerned with beat-related works, English sculpted "Pandemic" an album that examines the implication of rhythm &amp; the "spaces between" groove for the Belgian label Quatermass.&#13;
